Hello, I’m Sam, an award winning children’s book and natural history illustrator from NSW, Australia. Ever since I was little I was always known as the quiet one who loved to draw and I can’t say much has changed. 

Nestled away in any spare corner of our house I work traditionally in colour pencil developing highly detailed and realistic illustrations, most often of the natural world. Lately I have also been dipping my toes into the digital space and having fun experimenting with Procreate and Photoshop on more stylised and whimsical designs.
